Margaret River Region Open Studios (MRROS) designs, co-ordinates and promotes, a free annual open art studios event to showcase the increasingly diverse and vibrant visual arts throughout the Margaret River region. The event is the biggest of its kind in Australia.
The Farm has partnered with MRROS since 2017, and will be hosting Jolene Hewison and Martine Perret in 2023. With a shared ethos that fosters creativity and collaboration, The Farm and MRROS provide space for artists to find support and encouragement from their peers, while engaging visitors with their craft. Over the years, artists have exhibited everything from painting and photography, to sculpture, installation and jewellery, at The Farm as part of the MRROS event.
During MRROS, visitors are treated to guided tours of the property led by esteemed artists such as Chris Booth, Dr Perdita Phillips and Moritz Muller. They are invited to visit the studios and meet the artists, as well as to view and purchase art. The event is a great opportunity for artists to share their work, and for visitors to familiarise themselves with Margaret River’s burgeoning art scene.
